Ultrasonic guided waves reflection from simple dent in pipe for defect rate estimation and parameters determination of axisymmetric wave generation source

In this paper, the reflection of ultrasonic guided waves from simple dent in pipes has been investigated using finite element method and the relationship between reflection coefficient of these waves and deformation rate has been determined. Also, the effect of the parameters of wave generation source on the generated wave field has been investigated using normal modes expansion method. At firs...

Proof Theory, Modal Logic and Reflection Principles

Sergei Artemov Reflection vs. co-Reflection in Intuitionistic Epistemic Logic. This is joint work with Tudor Protopopescu. We outline an intuitionistic view of knowledge which maintains the Brouwer-Heyting-Kolmogorov semantics and is consistent with Williamson’s suggestion that intuitionistic knowledge is the result of verification. On this view, co-Reflection F → KF is valid since it encodes a...

Formalization and Reasoning in a Reflective Architecture

This paper is concerned with developing a reflective architecture for formalizing and reasoning about entities that occur in the process of software development, such as specifications, theorems, programs, and proofs. The starting point is a syntactic extension of the type theory ECC . An encoding of this object calculus within itself comprises the meta-level, and reflection principles are prov...
